Amo Travel had been recommended to us and I am now highly recommending AMO TRAVEL to anyone who wishes to discover Vietnam. Thuy has managed to perfectly customise our trip according to our needs (discovery with comfort). We were lodged in beautiful hotel boutiques in the middle of the country side. Our guide was just perfect for us and the driver most reliable and kind. We saw a lot in 8 days! and yet, it has been relaxing and very easy going.
Day 1: 23 April: Hanoi Arrive

Day 2: 24 April: Hanoi – Tam Coc (B/-/-)

Breakfast at hotel. 09h00, pick up by our tour guide and driver. Transfert to Tam Coc. Arrive at Tam Coc around noon. Check in hotel. Afternoon walk around of Van Lam village, climb up to Bich Dong temple, beautiful view. Overnight at hotel in Tam Coc
Day 3: 25 April: Tam Coc. Sightseeing (B/-/-)
Bike & english tour guide.
Morning. Visit local market. Bike to Tam Coc pier. Boat trip to visit Tam Coc to see the beauty of the karst formations as you pass along their base and row into one of the many caves carved through the limestone.
Lunch by your own. Continue to visit Thai Vi temple and Van lam village, discovery their local life and embroidery. Overnight at Tam Coc Garden
Day 4: 26 April: Tam Coc – Mai Chau (B/-/-)
English speaking tour guide.
Breakfast at hotel. 8h30, depart to Mai Chau. stop on the road for photo. Arrive at Mai Chau Ecolodge a bout noon. Check in hotel. Free lunch
14:00 – 16:30 : Bicycle ride with your tour guide, see farmers working in fields, locals weaving scarves and visit surrounding peaceful villages.
Then free time for bicycling, walking around.
Day 5: 27 April: Mai Chau – Hanoi (B)
English tour guide.
7:30 – 8:00 Wakeup and have breakfast at hotel.
8:30 Go with local tour guide to visit more remote rural villages, Na Meo and Na Mo villages to understand more about their culturev and customs.
12:00 Back to the homestay check-out
Come back to Hanoi. Arrive Hanoi abour 5PM. Check in hotel
Day 6: 28 April: Hanoi (B/-/-)
City tour with English speaking tour guide.
Full day is spent on the visit to Hanoi – capital of Vietnam. 8h30 in the morning, you will visit mausoleum of Ho Chi Minh President (close on Monday and Friday), and One Pilar Pagoda, which is famous for the unique architect of Buddhism belief. Also the Temple of Literature “the first university in Vietnam”, founded in 1076, the Tran Quoc Pagoda, one of the oldest of the country. In the afternoon, we make a cyclo tour (1h) through Hanoi’s Old Quarter and visit of Ngoc Son temple and Hoan Kiem lake. In the evening you can enjoy a performance of the traditional Water Puppet show. Time for shopping. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 7: 29 April: Hanoi – Ha Long
08:00: Pick up at your hotel (in Hanoi Old Quarter).
12:00 – 12:30: Embark at Hon Gai harbor.
12:30 – 13:00: Check-in, enjoy the welcome drink & cruise briefing.
13:30 – 14:30: Have lunch in the outdoor dining room (depending on the weather condition) while cruising to magnificent Bai Tu Long Bay, admire the fascinating formations on the way.
15:30: Arrive at Mua Hoa area to enjoy swimming or kayaking through the mystery Karst Mountains
17:30: Back to the boat for refreshing yourselves in the outdoor or indoor Mineral Seawater Pool, Fitness Room or enjoying the spa and massage services while cruising to Cap La area.
19:00: Elegant dinner served on board.
20:30: Free time for relaxing, communicating with the staffs, evening activities (watching movie listening to music, squid fishing…). Overnight on Bai Tu Long Bay.
Day 8: 30 April: Bai Tu Long. Cruises (B/L/D)
07:00 – 08:00: Start a new day with Tai Chi on the sundeck & morning view of Bay’s landscape with a cup of tea or coffee.
08:00 – 08:30: Have breakfast in the fresh air while cruising to Vung Vieng Fishing Village.
9:50: Visit Vung Vieng fishing village by a rustic row-boat.
11:30: Swimming, kayaking or visiting Thien Canh Son cave.
12:30: Having a BBQ lunch on the beach.
15:00: Back to the boat and start cruising to Cong Dam or Cua Lach area (depending on weather conditions) to explore the mystery Karst Mountains
17:30: Cocktail party and bar demonstration on board to admire sunset
19:00: Having dinner on board.
20:30: Have dinner and free time for communicating with staffs, evening activities (squid fishing, beauty spa…) and service on board. Overnight on board.
Day 9: 1 May : Bai Tu Long – Hanoi (B,L)
07:00: Start your day with a cup of tea or coffee. Have breakfast in the fresh air.
9:30 – 10:00: Start cruising towards the harbor. Enjoy the scenic on the way. Checkout cabin and pack your luggage.
10:45: Buffet lunch will be served.
11:30 – 12:00: Disembark. Drive to Hanoi.
16h30 Arrive in Hanoi. Trip ends.
Day 10: 2 May: Hanoi. Departure (B/-/-)
