The 30 km highway Hoa Lac-Hoa Binh was started in the May 2014 and now officially inaugurated on the 10th Oct 2018 on the occation of Hanoi liberation.
The Hoa Lac-Hoa Binh BOT project was carried out at a total investment of nearly 2898 billions dong ($131.2 million) and according to Minister of Transport Nguyen Van The, this project will make significant contributions to socio-economic development in Hanoi and the provinces of Hoa Binh
Head project Nguyen Dang Giap said that besides helping to shorten the distance between Hanoi and Hoa Binh by some 20km, the road will also serve as an important driver for socio-economic development in the northwestern region.
In practice this road will shorten the jurney from Hanoi to Hoa Binh to only 50 minutes as well as travelling time from Hanoi to Mai Chau from 3h30 minutes to only 2h30 minutes.
Travelers will have another choice to make day trip to Mai Chau and certainly have more time to enjoy the trip to Mai Chau and Mai Hich
